The packaging did not list the instructions of the Allergen Food Bureau to recall the dumpling product
The packaging of the two frozen dumplings did not indicate eggs that may cause allergies, and manufacturers have started to recall the product.
The affected products are from the Bibigo brand. One is Mandu Prawn Dumplings, which weighs 350 grams, and the other is a mini Korean shrimp dumplings weighing 360 grams.The two products are produced in Vietnam, and food producers CJ CAU TRE have taken the initiative to recall food.
The Singapore Food Bureau issued a statement on Monday (March 25) that eggs are a kind of allergens, so the Food Bureau instructed the importer CJ SE ASIA Personal Co., Ltd. to recall these products.
Allergens may cause allergic reactions.According to my country’s food regulations, if food products contain ingredients that are known to cause allergic reactions, the labels on the packaging must be clearly stated to protect consumers with food allergies.
The Food Bureau emphasized that eggs are basically not a hidden concern for food safety for consumers, except for those who are not tolerated or allergic to eggs.
